Newsprint Games

Licence terms

Newsprint Games · version of 25 October 2026

1. Who we are

Newsprint Games is a service of SZ9 AB, Swedish company reg. no. 559559-3236, registered office Västerås, Sweden, VAT SE559559323601 ("we"). Contact: contact@sz9sales.com. These terms apply between us and the organisation that orders a licence on newsprintgames.com ("you"). By ordering you confirm that you may bind that organisation.

2. What you get

A non-exclusive, non-transferable right to show the games of your plan to your readers by embedding our hosted service on the domains and apps you list in your account, for as long as your subscription runs. The word game plan covers Wordhook, Ordkroken and Gancho; the both-games plan adds the AI game (What am I thinking of? / Vad tänker jag på? / ¿En qué estoy pensando?) with the monthly allowance of AI games shown when you order. A group order covers the number of word-game publication licences purchased, all in the chosen audience band and billed together. You confirm your authority to manage each publication. Choose the audience band using each publication’s monthly unique visitors and tell us if it outgrows that band. Each slot is assigned to one publication and its subdomains; unused slots do not reduce the price. Publication replacements or changes to committed quantities require our agreement. Resale and AI group capacity require a separate written agreement. You may not copy, scrape, resell or redistribute the puzzles or answers, show the games elsewhere, or work around the service's limits.

3. Start and payment

Billing starts when you subscribe. Card payment is collected at checkout; invoice subscriptions are billed from the start, with payment due 30 days after the invoice date. The AI game requires payment of the current invoice before access starts or renews. There is no automatic free trial. Cancellation stops the next renewal and does not cancel payment owed for a period already started. Previously agreed trials keep their original terms.

4. Subscription and cancelling

Your subscription renews automatically each month or year, as you chose. You can cancel at any time from the billing page in your account; the licence then ends at the end of the period already paid for. Payments are not refunded for unused parts of a period, except where the law requires it.

5. Prices and taxes

Prices are those shown when you order and exclude VAT and other taxes, which are added where they apply. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email, taking effect from your next renewal. Previously agreed discounts retain their original terms. You must provide accurate business, billing and tax details, buy for business use in the country stated, and notify us promptly if those details or your tax registration change. Where reverse charge applies, you account for the tax. We may suspend new orders or renewals if required tax information or registrations need review.

6. The service

We host and maintain the games. Daily puzzles are published automatically. We investigate reported errors and unsuitable content and provide support by email on Swedish business days. Maintenance, outages and third-party services can affect availability; no specific uptime or response time is guaranteed unless separately agreed in writing.

7. AI game allowance

Each started AI round counts once, including an unfinished round. All languages share your publication’s allowance. It renews on your monthly subscription anniversary, including on annual plans; unused rounds do not roll over. The AI game pauses when the allowance is used. No automatic overage charges apply. Shared traffic limits, abuse protection and a prepaid spending cap may temporarily pause AI play sooner. The word game remains available. We investigate any repeated interruption during ordinary use.

8. Data protection

The word game sets no cookies and needs no reader account; progress stays in the reader's own browser. The AI game sends the reader's question text to an AI provider to produce the answer; questions that look like email addresses, phone numbers or identity numbers are blocked, and IP addresses are used only in pseudonymised form to prevent abuse. Optional publisher play statistics require player consent and show aggregate counts and active time, not unique people or their answers. Each party is responsible for its own processing of personal data; our processing is described on our privacy page. Where a data processing agreement is required, it must be agreed before the relevant processing starts.

9. Rights and brands

We keep all rights to the games, their software, puzzles, word banks and design. You keep all rights to your name and brand, and you let us show them in the games as you set them in your account.

10. Liability

Each party is liable only for direct loss caused by its own breach of these terms. Neither party is liable for indirect loss, such as lost profit or data. Our total liability per calendar year is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the event. These limits do not apply to gross negligence or intent.

11. Ending the licence

We may end a licence that remains unpaid after the due date and a reminder, or that is used against these terms. Game access may be suspended after 14 days of grace. You can still sign in to manage billing and cancellation.

12. Reference

We use your publication name or logo in our marketing only with your permission.

13. Changes and law

We may update these terms with at least 30 days' notice by email; the new terms apply from your next renewal. These terms apply to business customers. Mandatory legal rights remain unaffected. Swedish law applies, and disputes are settled by Swedish courts, with Västmanland District Court as the first instance.
