Optional play statistics
On a licensed website you can allow counts of play visits, finished games and active play time. Your choice applies to the open page and can be changed under Play statistics; declining does not affect play. We rely on your consent for this measurement. Reports contain no answers, names, email addresses or player profiles. A random code for one play visit prevents double counting and is removed after at most three hours, with some technical delay. Daily totals by game and publisher are kept for at most 14 months and shown to the publisher. Previous aggregates cannot be linked to you. No analytics cookies or persistent identifiers are used.
1. Introduction
We care about your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect information when you play "What am I thinking of?" (also published as "Vad tänker jag på?" and "¿En qué estoy pensando?"). The game is run by SZ9 AB (Swedish company reg. no. 559559-3236, registered office Västerås, Sweden), the data controller. Contact: contact@sz9sales.com.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide
- Game input: the questions and guesses you type during a game
- Game data: the number of questions, results and game history
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device and operating system
- Usage data: how you interact with the service
- Abuse protection: a temporary session ID and a protected identifier derived from your IP address are used to limit requests. Our hosting provider may process technical information under its own terms.
- Personal data protection: questions that look like they contain an email address, a phone number or a personal identity number are stopped before they are sent anywhere and do not count as attempts.
3. How we use information
We use the information to:
- Provide and improve the game
- Keep the service reliable
- Detect and prevent abuse and technical problems
4. Sharing information
We share information with:
- AI provider: your questions, guesses and the earlier answers in the current round are sent to OpenAI so it can answer in context. OpenAI has its own privacy policy.
- Advertising: the game currently shows no ads and shares no information with ad networks.
- Hosting: Cloudflare delivers the game; Railway stores and runs paid publishers’ game rounds. Technical request data is processed to operate and protect the service.
- Legal requirements: we may share information when the law requires it or to protect our rights.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to:
- Keep your game round together with a necessary session cookie that lasts at most two hours
- Remember your preferences (such as theme and language)
- Store your game history locally in your browser
If cookies are blocked, for example when the game is embedded on a newspaper's site, the same temporary session key is used instead. It is sent with the game's own requests and kept in your browser for at most two hours. You can disable cookies in your browser, but some features may then not work.
6. Data retention
We keep information only as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. The current game round is stored on the server for at most two hours and is then deleted automatically, with some technical delay. Temporary identifiers for abuse protection are also deleted automatically. Aggregated cost accounting is kept without questions or session identifiers. Game history is also stored locally in your browser, where you can delete it. Please do not type personal or other sensitive information into the game.
7. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR and other applicable data protection laws you may have the right to:
- Access: request a copy of your personal information
- Rectification: correct inaccurate information
- Erasure: ask us to delete your information
- Restriction: ask us to restrict processing
- Objection: object to certain processing
- Portability: receive your data in a structured format
To exercise these rights, email contact@sz9sales.com. You can also complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).
9. Children
The service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you are a parent and discover that your child has given us information, please contact us.
10. International transfers
Your information may be processed outside the EU/EEA, including in the United States, where OpenAI is based. We make sure appropriate safeguards are in place.
11. Third-party services
The service uses:
- OpenAI: for AI-generated answers (OpenAI Privacy Policy)
- Cloudflare and Railway: for hosting and secure game storage.
These services have their own privacy policies, which we do not control.
12. Embedding on newspaper sites
The game may appear embedded on a newspaper's website. It is still delivered by us, and the newspaper does not receive your questions or answers.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time and will publish significant changes on this page.
14. Contact
If you have questions about this policy or how we handle information, please email contact@sz9sales.com.
